There’s More to the Story

Away from the page, I’m a husband, a retired Army officer, a dog dad, a traveler, and someone who spent a lot of years figuring out what life was supposed to look like after the uniform came off.

After twenty-seven years of military service, I’ve learned that some of the best parts of life are the ones you choose for yourself. These days, that means traveling with my husband, spending entirely too much time with our German Shepherd, Pandora, and Doberman, Nemo, getting outside whenever I can, and inevitably finding another book, show, or story to obsess over.

I love romance, science fiction, documentaries, nature, and stories about people who don’t necessarily fit neatly into the boxes the world gives them. Looking back, it probably isn’t surprising that those same ideas found their way into my own writing.

Writing has given me a place to explore loyalty, love, identity, second chances, and chosen family from an entirely different direction. More than anything, it has given me the chance to create the kinds of characters I love reading about: imperfect people who have lived a little, survived a little, and still believe they deserve something extraordinary.

Life Beyond Writing

Travel & Adventure

Some of my favorite memories have been made far from home. My husband, Melvin, and I love to travel, whether that means getting on a cruise ship, exploring somewhere new, or simply escaping for an adventure together. After years of life being dictated by schedules and obligations, there is something pretty damn wonderful about being able to ask, “Where should we go next?”

Pandora & Nemo

Life at home revolves around Pandora, our German Shepherd, and Nemo, our Doberman. They are family, entertainment, chaos, and two very good reasons to step away from the computer and enjoy the moment.

The Things I Love

Outside of writing, I’m usually lifting weights, getting outside, planning the next trip, or disappearing into a good book, sci-fi series, or documentary. I’ve always been drawn to stories, places, and experiences that make the world feel a little bigger, and I’m perfectly happy spending an afternoon exploring somewhere new or an evening at home with Melvin, Pandora, and Nemo.

Thanks for Stopping By

Whether you found me through the Warborn Pack, one of my other stories, or simply wandered in, I’m glad you’re here. I hope you’ll stick around, explore the books, and maybe find a character or story that stays with you long after the last page.
