A New Release, the Warborn Pack & What’s Coming Next

Hi everyone,

I thought it was time to start doing something a little different here on the website.

Social media is great for sharing graphics, character introductions, release announcements, and the occasional glimpse into the worlds I’m creating, but sometimes I want a little more room to actually talk about the books.

So, welcome to the first update from my desk.

And there’s quite a bit happening.

🔐 The Unbroken Cage Arrives September 1

The biggest news right now is that The Unbroken Cage releases on September 1 as a Kindle eBook.

At its heart, this is a story about choice.

Damon has experienced what it means to have control over his own life taken away. Escaping gives him his freedom back, but freedom doesn’t automatically erase everything that came before it.

Then he meets Locke.

Locke is powerful, protective, and perfectly comfortable taking control. But what makes him important to Damon is that he understands the difference between control that is taken and control that is freely given.

That distinction became one of the things I loved most about writing their relationship.

Damon’s journey isn’t about replacing one cage with another. It’s about reclaiming the right to decide for himself what he wants, who he trusts, and what he’s willing to give.

Sometimes strength means refusing to surrender.

Sometimes it means trusting someone enough to choose it.

The Unbroken Cage is available for preorder now and releases September 1.

🐺 Meanwhile, the Warborn Pack Keeps Growing

For those of you who discovered my writing through the Warborn Pack Series, don’t worry. I’m nowhere near finished with that world.

What began with Mac and Melvin in The Alpha’s Panther has grown into something much larger than I originally imagined.

The Pack has become a place where soldiers, shifters, mates, warriors, and people who never expected to belong anywhere can find a family.

The Hyena’s Guardian expanded that world even further with Matt and Theron, while also opening the door to more of the supernatural world surrounding the Pack.

And there is still much more to come.

The Commander’s Wolf and The Alpha’s Foundling will continue expanding the Warborn world with new characters, relationships, dangers, and connections to the family that Mac and Melvin started building.

One of my favorite things about writing this series has been watching characters who might once have existed at the edges of someone else’s story become important enough to demand stories of their own.

Apparently, my characters aren’t particularly interested in staying in the background.

I’m learning to live with that.

❤️ More Than Just the Romance

If you’ve read any of my books, you’ve probably noticed something that keeps finding its way into my stories.

Family.

Not necessarily the family someone is born into.

The people we choose.

The people who show up.

The people who stand beside us when things get ugly and still somehow manage to irritate the hell out of us five minutes later.

Whether I’m writing about Damon and Locke or the men of the Warborn Pack, I keep coming back to characters who are searching for a place where they can finally stop fighting alone.

There are shifters, dangerous missions, supernatural politics, suspense, romance, sex, and more than a little violence along the way.

But underneath all of it, I think I’m usually writing about belonging.

And I don’t see that changing anytime soon.

📚 What’s Next?

Right now, my attention is on getting The Unbroken Cage into readers’ hands on September 1.

After that, there is plenty more coming.

More Warborn.

More characters.

More stories.

And probably at least one character who was supposed to have three lines of dialogue before deciding he deserves an entire book.

I’ve learned not to argue with them.

I’ll use these updates to share more about upcoming books, characters, works in progress, behind-the-scenes thoughts, release news, and occasionally some of the things that happen while I’m trying to turn the people living in my head into actual novels.
